Today we had an ultrasound. Bud was sure kickin' around. I'm glad to
see he's looking healthy. Here's a picture of him. And no we don't know
the sex yet!
03.18.04
No we don't know that it's a boy. And if we did we wouldn't call him
'Bud'. Not that it's a bad name, but... well, anyway....
03.26.04
Another checkup for Bud and mommy today. The doctor tried
to hear his heartbeat, but I guess he was little shy today. We're not worried
though - as we have evidence of a strong heart beat on the two ultrasounds
that we've had.

Geez, Bud! I can't believe it's been almost 2 months since
I wrote. We've been through a lot of things since then. April was rocked
by your Grandpa's illness, a trip to North Carolina to see him. And your
Great Grandma Moretz's death while we there.
But this month is a month
for celebration. We went out to dinner to celebrate Chris's graduation.
Chris is one of my best friends was the best man at our wedding. So I guess
you could say he had some small part in your existence.
We also took mommy out for lunch on Mother's day. And then we had your
sissy's birthday party - lots of chocolate cake all over her face. I bet
you'll like chocolate cake and have a fun first birthday party too.
Last weekend was also our 5th Wedding Anniversary. Mommy and I, and sissy,
of course, went to Denver for a couple of days. It was fun. The pool water
was too cold for sissy - well, actually daddy had issues with it too. But
the food was great and the hotel treated us to champagne and chocolate
covered strawberries.
P.S. - Mommy said to mention the last Dr. visit on April
28. Your heartrate was around 140 - nice job, Bud! Good range for a boy.
;)
BTW - See you on June 3rd. Pose good for us!

We went for 'the ultrasound' today. It was
important for a couple of reasons. Mostly, so that we could see that Bud
is growing normally.
And everything looks good. Bud, you have all the right parts....well, except
for one or two, or three. Yeah -it looks like we're having a Bud-ette,
not a Bud. See for yourself. Yeah,
I know - "What can you tell from that!?!" Anyway, I guess we're taking
the technician's opinion for now. It did look sort of convincing on the
live ultrasound.
I guess, I can't say that I'm too disappointed. Look at that
profile! I know she's just precious. I know that she'll melt her daddy's
heart - just like Grace has.

Less than two months away. I'm anxious for "her" to be here.
A little nervous about how it's gonna go too. We have the go ahead to do
VBAC. But that could change at any time. And it looks like we'll be in
Greeley for sure. I am anxious to check out the facilities.

Due date only about 3 weeks away. See the new pix, taken
yesterday. I think we can pretty much throw away the boy's names list.
The gallery is pretty much ready, except for the pictures. I, for one,
can't wait to see them.
Status Reports - I should have save them from the beginning,
but anyway....
Her weight as of 10.20.04: 4
lbs. 7 oz.
Status as of 10.18.04: She came home on Oct.
8.
She has done well at feeding, We are still hoping her schedule will adjust as
one of her most awake times is in the 11:00 pm - 1:00 am range. Grace is having
trouble with her sleep schedule too.
She continues to have a problem with fluid retention because of her heart murmur
and will probably have to take regular doses of lasix until the murmur heals
on its on or the cardiologist has to intervene.
Her weight as of 11.17.04: 5 lbs. 13 oz.
Current status as of 11.17.04: Yesterday we went to the cardiologist and
she got a great report! Her heart defects (an ASD and a VSD) seem to
be healing nicely. She goes back in February.
She is also breastfeeding at 100% and doing well with that. |
